What this class actually carries
Every vehicle in this class is a full-size, body-on-frame SUV over 5.3 metres long. The Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition and GMC Yukon each carry six passengers and four large bags. The GMC Yukon XL carries seven and six. Passenger seats never include the driver.
Why we sell six seats when the manufacturer fits eight
A Tahoe leaves the factory with up to nine seatbelts and a quoted 122.7 cubic feet of cargo space, but those two figures are never true at the same time: the larger number assumes the rear rows are folded flat. Chevrolet publishes 25.5 cubic feet behind the third row, and that is the figure that matters once six people are aboard. We publish the capacity that holds when every seat is occupied and every bag is loaded.
Choosing between the four
In practice the Tahoe, Expedition and Yukon are interchangeable at six passengers and four large bags. The Yukon XL is the outlier: roughly fifteen inches longer, with 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row against the 25.5 of the other three, which is why it alone takes a seventh passenger and a sixth large bag at the same time.
Built for Saudi intercity distance
These are long-distance vehicles. On Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah connections the deciding factor is usually luggage volume rather than seat count, which is why the class is priced and booked on both together.
